This mini zoo is located in the south of Tenerife, near the resort town of Los Cristianos. It is a
contact zoo, which means the communication with animals takes place at a close level. This feature attracts many tourists and leaves absolutely no one indifferent!
In Monkey Park, you can observe small and large species of monkeys, parrots, exotic birds and some reptiles in their natural environment with maximum freedom of movement. The leading merry fellows that delight visitors to the park are feline and mongoose
lemurs brought to the island from Madagascar.
The relatively small area of the park is a breeding centre for endangered primate species, so many of the monkeys living in the reserve are rare. The most sociable ones are small green monkeys. They actively communicate with guests, taking delicacies straight from their hands.
Here you can find many exotic parrots, toucans, crocodiles, monitor lizards and turtles. And yet, the trump card of the zoo are undoubtedly
lemurs - it is simply impossible to take your eyes off them! You can communicate with them, touch, feed and photograph. Many visitors come back here again to interact with the fluffy animals as those are so adorable!
The Monkey Park Tenerife is located only about 10 min drive from Playa Las Americas. You can reach it easily by rental car or by taxi.
