In addition to shopping centres, the city is also known for its:
- Museums (Historical Military Museum of the Canary Islands, Archaeological Museum of Nature and Man, TEM Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Fine Arts);
- Historical architectural monuments (Castle of San Cristobal, Black Castle of San Juan Batista, Tower of San Andres, Fort Castillo Negro);
- Religious buildings (Church of the Immaculate Conception, Church of St. Francis of Assisi in the Baroque style, Church of St. Joseph, Masonic Temple)
- A monument of modern architecture - the building of the Opera Auditorio de Tenerife, consisting of a chamber and a symphony hall, the acoustics of which is considered one of the best in the world. This building is world-famous.
- Picturesque squares, green parks and unique botanical gardens.
A few kilometres from the city is the
Las Teresitas beach, which is considered one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the archipelago.
Diving and water sports centres are in great demand, as the coast of Santa Cruz is known for its magnificent coral reefs, underwater caves, and the Carbonero wreck's remains.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife also has the most important seaport of the Canary Islands and one of the most significant in the Atlantic Ocean. Next to this port is the famous building of the Auditorio de Tenerife, which is considered one of the island's most iconic sights.
