Puerto de la Cruz is the second most visited resort in Tenerife after Las Americas, located in the north of the island.

The city is also famous for its open-air swimming pool complex Lago Martianez. Puerto de la Cruz offers a wide range of hotels, but many tourists prefer to rent accommodation from private owners related to lower costs. Renting a fully equipped apartment can be much more convenient and, in many cases, inexpensive compared to the prices in hotels.
