Benijo Beach is considered one of Tenerife's most beautiful wild beaches and is located in a conservation area in the northeast of the island. This hidden gem is located near Taganana, a charming village far from traffic, hustle and tourists.
The road leading to the beach fascinates with its landscapes: laurel forests, steep mountain slopes and breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean.
The coastal area is surrounded by steep rocks and covered with black volcanic sand — the atmosphere of serenity reigns here.
Despite the relatively shallow entrance to the water, you need to swim on Benijo with caution due to strong winds and underwater currents. This place is especially popular with nudists. However, it is also a favourite place for surfers, especially during winter.
The beach is relatively isolated and unspoilt. There are no hotels, restaurants or facilities there, except for a few restaurants located at the top of the road. There is also a car parking area and a bus stop.
