Attractions of Tenerife island

Siam Park (Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife)

Siam Park is the largest water park in Europe with over 25 rides of various heights and difficulties (the most extreme one is the size of a 10-storey building and almost vertical!) The park is located on the territory of 185 square kilometres and almost entirely covered with greenery.
You understand how extraordinary this place is from the moment you enter - cascading waterfalls, magnificent white sand beaches, lush vegetation, breathtaking architecture and a spectacular aquarium full of tropical fishes.
You will be welcomed by cheerful sea lions at the entrance, leading you to the fantastic floating market.
Park's cafes and restaurants offer a great menu to its customers in a beautiful exotic atmosphere.

The most extreme and thus most popular attractions in the waterpark are the Tower of Power and the Dragon rides.
The Tower of Power is an almost vertical 28-metre ride! That's right, take a deep breath and hold on to your swimwear as you plunge down the slide in almost free-fall. Yet after, you will emerge through a fantastic aquarium with a variety of fish species. However, flying by, you hardly have time to contemplate the space around you.

For those who like extreme, The Dragon ride is a perfect match. It will tickle your nerves by letting you experience zero gravity.
This slide looks like a dragon, baring its mouth in the form of an open funnel from the side. By sitting in the raft with 3 companions, you will be gathering enormous speed before emerging into the mouth of a giant cone, where you will be plunged to, and can also experience zero gravity before being washed away to the ride’s end.

For those who have small children, it is highly recommended to visit The Lost City. Do you want to get quality rest and stay longer? In this case, we would recommend you to rent Private Cabanas. These are little houses that can comfortably accommodate four people. There you can find everything you need, including a minibar, TV and sun loungers. The rental price also includes holiday tickets, skip-the-line tickets to Siam Waterpark and some great special offers for dining in the park.
(It is best to purchase such tickets in advance.)

The best time to visit Siam Park:
During summer the Siam waterpark is very crowded. The busiest months are July and August. You need to consider it if you don't want to spend most of your leisure time standing in the queue for rides. However, during the weekdays, there are much fewer people in the park.
Siam Park is open all year round: from 10 am until 6 pm in the summer season (May-October) and from 10 am until 5 pm in the winter season (November-April).

About a million people comes to Tenerife to watch and participate in this spectacular costume process every year. Undoubtedly, taking part in this carnival guarantees unforgettable emotions of a lifetime!

Marine Attractions

Tenerife offers a huge variety of marine activities: from water parks and SPAs to spearfishing and tours to see dolphins and whales in the open sea.

The most popular marine attractions for tourists are listed below
Deep-sea fishing

The waters here are generous with fish - marlin, king mackerel, giant tuna, swordfish, stingray, barracuda and many others. Fishing in Tenerife guarantees a burst of excitement for whether you are a beginner or a professional fisherman.
Boat trips
One of the most common entertainments in Tenerife is a boat trip: on a yacht, catamaran, boat or even a pirate ship. Viking ship cruises and jet ski safaris are also in great demand.
Though, often tourists get attracted to watch whales, dolphins and turtles in their natural habitat. There are vast populations of dolphins in the coastal waters, and they usually accompany touristic sea vessels with interest. The probability to meet whales and turtles is not very high - it all depends on the luck.
Active recreation
Some of the most popular water activities on the island are surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and diving. There is a large number of decent schools with professional instructors throughout the Canary Islands.
Almost on every Tenerife beach you can easily find equipment rental shops. There is also an opportunity to make surf tours to the best coasts of the island for practising surfing, windsurfing, diving and snorkelling.

For the divers it is worth mentioning that the local flora and fauna is completely different from the popular places with coral reefs. Diving in Tenerife is a unique experience that attracts divers by its volcanic bottom with caves, sunken pirate ships and rich underwater flora and fauna. The ocean in the south of the island is calmer, and there are no waves as strong as it is in the north.
